In this weeks episode of widelife with Shannon & Kirk … Kirk was in his barn basement, moved this soft fluffy blanket…. And these poor two little creatures were there! We weren’t quite sure what they were, but we had a guess. After making sure we did everything right via website- we moved to Camera right there to make sure mom was coming back. And there she is!
Luckily, this is in his barn, not in the house- and even if traps have been used or need to be, we always use humane ones.

Part two…he never did climb out himself. It took Kirk having to reach in there and grab him while cutting up his hand on the cut up fence which we had to make a bigger hole for. After we put him in the container and made sure he didn’t have any injuries as we did let him go and he ran away just fine after our first jumping on Kirk’s pant leg and giving him a big hug.

I heard a scratching…. I tried to sneak up to it thinking I’m gonna catch what’s trying to scratch at my fence., but it didn’t stop - because it didn’t see - me because it is inside my fence!!! this poor baby squirrel is at the bottom of a 2 x 4 - I threw him some peanuts down the hole and got to work.. he was first looking up at me, but then coward down. I have left him a leash and a tied up beach towel to climb his way out. Stay tuned. I will check on his status in the morning. A hole will be cut if he does not climb his way out.
