Tri-Citi Hurricanes Youth Football and Cheerleading

The Tri-Citi Hurricanes youth football league is an organization whose sole purpose is to provide the children of Newport News and the surrounding localities the opportunity to partake in the sports of football and cheerleading, provided by safe and structured means. Tri-Citi league goals are not only to be able to create an environment where children will learn about the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play. We will also instill our league's core values of Hard Work, Pride, and Respect, in hopes that they will apply these skills and values learned on a football field, and achieve their goals and aspirations through out their lives.

What’s better than ONE Homecoming? TWO HOMECOMINGS!

We’re kicking off our first HOMECOMING WEEK as we celebrate ALL THINGS TRI CITI and the family, tradition, and pride that make our organization special!

This Saturday, our ORANGE SQUADS take center stage for their Homecoming Game Day!

We hope to see our entire , current families, alumni, former coaches, players, cheerleaders, and supporters, come out throughout the week and help us celebrate the GREEN & ORANGE!

PLUS… HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS OPEN THIS WEEK!

We’re getting ready to recognize those who have helped build, serve, and make an impact on the Tri Citi Hurricanes throughout the years.

🚨 BASKETBALL SEASON 🚨

The countdown to the 2026–27 Tri Citi Hurricanes Basketball Season is officially on! REGISTRATION OPENS OCTOBER 1ST, and Basketball Commissioner Coach Davon Stephens is getting the ready for another exciting season on the hardwood!

This year, we’re especially excited to announce the launch of our GIRLS BASKETBALL PROGRAM! 🏀💚🧡 Coach Lori will oversee our girls program, serving young ladies ages 9–12. We’re looking forward to creating another opportunity for girls to develop their skills, compete, build confidence, and become part of the Hurricanes family.

Our program is about MORE THAN BASKETBALL. We’re developing champions in the classroom, community, and competition while emphasizing Fundamentals, Faith, Fun & Family!

📅 Registration Opens: October 1st
🏀 Boys Basketball: Ages 7–14
🏀 Girls Basketball: Ages 9–12
