The historic 5th Street Gym in Newark, Ohio, opened in 1926 as the home court for the Newark High School basketball teams, hosting countless legendary games and community events for over 30 years. After decades of serving various community needs, the vintage facility was purchased by Granville Christian Academy in 2014. Today, the gym preserves its classic, old-school layout—complete with its iconic overhead spectator balcony—and enjoys a vibrant second life as the home court for Granville Christian Academy.
