Her class provides students expressive, dynamic movement material to build strength, balance, stamina, focus, and work on technique, movement skills, and self-awareness as a performer. With a strong emphasis on movement from the core, connecting physical and psychological forces, allowing dancers to explore and own their individual voice, take chances, and work on exposing the depths of human emotion through movements.

Hassan Imam Syed (hassan_syed), native of New York City, brings with him a rich background as a , educator, and choreographer, both nationally and internationally.
Hassan has had the privilege of performing works by acclaimed choreographers such as Sidra Bell, Rennie Harris, David Parsons, and more. His outstanding talent was recognized with a four-year Dance Merit Scholarship and first honors in .
Completing his academic journey, Hassan earned an MFA in Choreography from Temple University, where he was honored with the Rosenick Fund Award for his thesis. Additionally, he has trained under the world-famous Les Twins for over ten years, attending workshops in various cities across the globe. Hassan has attended summer intensives such as Jacob’s Pillow, ADF, David Parsons, and Sidra Bell’s Module.
As an active member of the community, Hassan has competed and battled in numerous events worldwide such as Juste Debout, Breakin Convention, and World of Dance. His choreographic creations have graced esteemed venues like Springboard Danse Festival, ACDA, ADF, Carmel Dance Festival, Fringe Arts, NY Live Arts, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and The Apollo Theatre, among others.
Hassan’s commitment to education is evident through his roles as Assistant Director of the Dance Ensemble at Drexel University and as an Ar-st in Residence at Georgian Court University. He has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona School of Dance, where he also taught at the annual Jazz in AZ fes-val hosted by the school. Hassan also served as an Assistant Professor at The University of Alabama. Additionally, Hassan has taught at the Martha Graham Summer School Intensive.
Hassan is currently an Assistant Professor of Dance tenure track at California State Fullerton.
