When a child learns to swim, they gain a lifetime of health, joy, and community through the water. Yesterday, Asphalt Green CEO Jordan Brackett sat down with GoodDayNY at River East Elementary in Harlem to share the story of Wave Makers, our groundbreaking program that's bringing free swim instruction to thousands of kids across every borough.

This summer, Asphalt Green was awarded a $1.5 million grant from the New York City Council to expand Wave Makers and deliver an additional 58,500 swim lessons this fiscal year.
