Whale Vertebra with Matrix Found Scuba Diving Off North Carolina
While exploring for new sites we found several matrix pieces frozen in the formation: whale vertebrae, ear bones, shells and a massive 6.7”-6.8” tooth stuck in the limestone rock formation they fossilized in 2-20 million years ago.
