When I’m in the home caring for a newborn, I always encourage Dad to find his own ways to be involved. Mom may be breastfeeding, but that does not mean Dad has to sit on the sidelines.
After a feeding, Dad can take baby for burping and skin-to-skin. He can handle diaper changes, help with bottle or supplemental feeds, wash bottles and pump parts, organize baby supplies, prepare food for Mom, or simply make sure she has water and something to eat.
And Dad, if you have to return to work, you can still create special routines with your baby. Bath time can become your time together. As baby gets older, if your family uses a bottle for a dream feed, that can also become one of Dad’s special feedings.
One more thing I encourage: help Mom with the reading. In those early newborn weeks, Mom can be exhausted, recovering, feeding around the clock, and trying to learn everything at once. Dad can read the newborn information, learn alongside her, and pass important information on to Mom. You are a team.
You don’t have to do everything perfectly. Be present, be involved, and build your own bond with your newborn. 🤍

Why are moms loving the Momcozy M5? 🤱🏽💕
Because pumping doesn’t always happen when you have time to sit down and do nothing else.
With the Momcozy M5 Smart Wearable Breast Pump, you can put it right inside your bra and keep moving. Pump while you’re getting things done around the house, caring for your baby, getting ready for the day—or during one of those tired middle-of-the-night pumping sessions.
And that freedom is one of the things moms seem to love most.
💕 Hands-free and wireless
💕 Comfortable to wear inside your bra
💕 3 pumping modes + 9 suction levels
💕 Smart app control
💕 Lightweight and portable
💕 Good, steady milk output
It starts with stimulation to help encourage your letdown, then you can adjust the pumping mode and suction level to what feels comfortable for your body.
And as a Newborn Care Specialist and Certified Lactation Counselor, this is what I love about a wearable pump: Mom doesn’t have to stop her whole day just because it’s time to pump.
You can pump…and keep going. 🙌🏽
For a busy breastfeeding or pumping mama, that can make a BIG difference.

If you just had a newborn and you’re asking yourself, How do I know what my baby needs? — you are not alone. 💛
Learning your baby’s cues takes time. Knowing whether baby is hungry, needs to burp, needs to be swaddled, or just needs help settling back to sleep can feel overwhelming in the beginning.
In my book, How to Sleep Train Your Baby Like a Pro, I walk you through it step by step — including how to do a feeding together and what to check when baby wakes after being put down.
