Against the backdrop of one of America’s most recognizable landmarks sits DTH Company Artist Alexandra Hutchinson.

When Arthur Mitchell founded Dance Theatre of Harlem more than 57 years ago, he challenged the nation to expand its vision of who belongs on the ballet stage—and in the American story. That’s what  Classically American® has always meant to us.

We know the Fourth of July can bring up many different emotions. But we also believe it offers an opportunity to reflect on the America we strive toward—one where excellence, artistry, and opportunity belong to everyone.
