Metacene Unleashed: Reviving Nature's Harmony is at in Yonkers, NY until at least next year. Light-footed caves take on animalia form that invite refuge; built from neutralized invasive plants and embellished with colorful biomaterial, they call for regenerative bioremediation. The name of our current geological age is the Anthropocene, meaning that human activity dominates Earth’s ecology. We coined the idea of a “Metacene epoch” —meta meaning “after”— to refer to the next epoch which we hope will be a time of symbiosis and regeneration. This sculpture is made from remediated invasive bamboo, living indigenous wampum bean vines, kombucha leather, and mycelial forms. We need to find a new location for Ballad of Cyclic Change, a group of sculptures meant to be played as instruments. Does anyone have ideas for places I can contact who'd be interested in hosting these sculptures and perhaps a concert using them?
