HELP BRING JOY TO UKRAINIAN ORPHAN CHILDREN THIS SUMMER!
This summer, the New York Ukrainians - YCK and American Ukrainian Aid Foundation is proud to launch its 3rd annual Healing Summer Camp program, providing life-changing camp experiences for orphans, displaced children, and children with special needs in Cherkasy, Zolotonosha, and Smila — Ukrainian communities deeply impacted by the war.
Through a combination of overnight and day camps, more than 20 children will step into safe, structured, and nurturing environments designed to help them heal.
Your donation will directly support transformative experiences, including:
Guided hiking excursions and nature exploration
Field trips to zoos, museums, theaters, and heritage parks
Boating, fishing, rowing, and other water activities
Singing, dancing, theater performances, and puppet shows
Evening campfire gatherings with storytelling and s’mores
Group games, sports, and team-building activities
Support from trained counselors, teachers, and volunteers
Beyond recreation, these camps provide something even more essential: psychological and emotional support. Experienced counselors and educators will create structured opportunities for children to process trauma, build friendships, and restore a sense of trust and belonging.
Thanks to supporters like you, our summer camp program is entering its third year, continuing a mission to provide safe spaces, emotional recovery, and the healing they deserve.
Please share this message and help us reach our goal. We need $2800 more to reach our goal of $16,000.
