With all the scams that are going around social media these days, we want to ensure that none of our followers fall into any scam traps! The Gottscheer Relief Association and our affiliate clubs, specifically the ones tagged to this post that have a social media page, are not selling any type of merchandise on Facebook or Instagram. This includes sweatshirts, tshirts, etc with a club logo on it. If you receive or see any comments or messages regarding us selling merchandise, it is NOT us.

A Gottscheer meetup can be planned or totally unexpected, and in this case a totally unexpected meetup happened at Germanfest - Milwaukee! As members of our Gottscheer Relief Organization were dancing to the music of Voxxclub, past president, Frank Brenner, of the Milwaukee Gottscheer Organization spotted us in the crowd!!! Such a great time catching up with Frank!! ✨

Then, while waiting for Voxxclub’s second performance we met up with new friends from the Alpine Club of Kitchener!!!🇨🇦

The Gottscheer Heimatchor of Cleveland and the Gottscheer Choir of New York joined their voices in song to perform the beautiful Gottscheer Mass at St. Stephen’s Church during the 61st Gottscheer Treffen in Cleveland, Ohio. This special celebration of faith, heritage, and community brought together Gottscheers from across North America to honor the traditions passed down through generations. Deutsche Schönheitsköniginnen in den USA!

Rechts ist die neue "Miss German-America 2026" zu sehen, die die deutsche Steubenparade am 19. September über die New Yorker 5th Avenue anführen wird. Ihr steht eine "Prinzessin" zur Seite, die man auf dem Foto links sieht.

In der Mitte steht die neue "Miss Gottschee 2026", die der Verein der deutschstämmigen Gottscheer in New York gekürt hat. Die Gottscheer sind eine deutschsprachige Minderheit in Slowenien. Ein großer Teil von ihnen wurde von den Kommunisten vertrieben und verteilte sich weltweit - unter anderem in den Vereinigten Staaten.

A great day was had by all at the 78th Gottscheer Volksfest! The singers sounded beautiful, the dancers danced the afternoon away gracefully and the highlight of the day was the crowning of Miss Gottschee 2026, Samantha Juran!!! The Gottscheer Relief Association and our affiliating clubs wish you a great year as Miss Gottschee! It was a great way to wrap up our Gottscheer Treffen and Volksfest weekend! Thank you all for attending and keeping our Gottscheer heritage strong for generations to come, especially our out of towners who celebrated Treffen with us! We proudly continue to keep up the traditions that our ancestors started for us! We hope to see everyone again at the 79th Gottscheer Volksfest to be held on June 6th, 2027! 🩵✨
