Last Saturday, we successfully held our Annual Beach Day, which was both fun and safe. A heartfelt thank you to all the K-SPIRIT members, families, and friends who joined us! Your dedication and spirit are the true driving force that keeps Team K-SPIRIT strong and connected in NYC—a city where people from all cultural backgrounds come together.

​As we step into this new week, Team K-SPIRIT remains committed to doing our part to foster a safer, better society and build warm, meaningful human connections—while continuing to focus on our top priority: rigorous Taekwondo training.

Get ready for some sun and fun—our Annual Beach Day is happening tomorrow!

🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Location: Midland Beach, Staten Island, NY
🅿 You may park for free here in Parking Lot 8 and then walk straight onto the beach, where Master Cho, the staff team, and our adult members will be waiting for you.

🚗🚌 We’ve included directions for getting there by car or bus from the K-SPIRIT Dojang in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

What to bring:
• Swimsuit
• Towels
• Picnic mat
• Change of clothes
• Snacks & Beverages

After the event of Annual Beach Day, we go:
• for a late lunch (if you'd like to join us)
• from 3PM - 4:30PM
• at New China Buffet (2636 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306)
• $30 per person (children 4'5" and under: $17) + tax + tip

The 171st Color Belt Promotion Test will be held today on Saturday, August 22nd.

• 2:00 PM - Ages 7 and Under
• 3:30 PM - Ages 8 and Up

Wish all testees luck!

▪️Please wear a long-sleeved (regular) Dobok, not a TKD t-shirt - you won't be allowed to take the test.
▪️No necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, or smart watches - please respect and follow the regulations and rules of K-SPIRIT TAEKWONDO and WORLD TAEKWONDO.
▪️Please don't forget to bring your sparring gear.

The 6th Annual Family Summer Camping Trip kicks off this Friday, August 7th, and runs through Monday, August 10th—a fun-filled 3-night, 4-day getaway at Lake Taghkanic State Park Campground.

⛺ Join Us Anytime! If your schedule doesn’t allow for the full trip, no worries—you’re welcome to come and go as you please. Whether it’s for a few hours or a full day, we’d love to have you!

🚗 Day-Pass Option A day-pass is just $10 per vehicle (note: it does not include overnight camping). Visiting on Saturday or Sunday is a great way to enjoy the fun and connect with your K-SPIRIT family, even if you’re not staying overnight.

🌙 Want to Camp Overnight? You can book any loop—we’ll be nearby and can easily gather to hang out together. Our basecamp is East End Camp 001, and Master Cho has reserved sites P026 & P027.
