In alignment with the New York City school year ending, K‑SPIRIT TAEKWONDO will also begin a short summer break starting today, June 24th, through July 4th, including Independence Day. 🏖️

We sincerely acknowledge the hard work of all our students, teachers, staff, and especially our parents throughout this past school year. 👍

We hope everyone enjoys a well‑deserved rest, and we look forward to seeing you all again with happy, refreshed faces when Taekwondo training resumes on Monday, July 6th. 😊

The 169th Color Belt Promotion Test will be held this Saturday, June 20th.

• 2:00 PM - Ages 7 and Under
• 3:30 PM - Ages 8 and Up

Wish all testees luck!

▪️Please wear a long-sleeved (regular) Dobok, not a TKD t-shirt - you won't be allowed to take the test.
▪️No necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, or smart watches - please respect and follow the regulations and rules of K-SPIRIT TAEKWONDO and WORLD TAEKWONDO.
▪️Please don't forget to bring your sparring gear.

The reason we get to be here today on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, is thanks to the collective time and dedication of everyone who believed in us and cheered us on.

Dear K-SPIRIT current and former members, families, and friends,

We will have the 14th K-SPIRIT TKD Annual Family Picnic this Saturday, June 13th, 2026.

The picnic will be held from 11AM to 3PM at Governors Island Picnic Point.

You must take the Governors Island Shuttle Ferry (GI) at
* Red Hook / Atlantic Basin
* Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6
* Manhattan Battery Maritime Building

You can get Red Hook / Atlantic Basin by
* NYC ferry at the American Veterans Memorial Pier on Bay Ridge Ave (69th St) & Shore Rd
* Subway R, 2, 3, 4, 5 at Borough Hall/Court Street
* Bus B63
* Driving and finding street parking (No street cleaning on Saturday)

Each family is responsible for bringing their own lunch and snacks, beverages, picnic blankets, change of clothes, and a water-gun if desired. We will have fun doing water-gun fights, dodgeball, soccer, and other games. Students do not need their uniform and belt. We will just have a picnic and hang out together.

This is not a mandatory event, but it's a great chance to meet and socialize with other TKD members and families and enjoy a weekend together!

* ONLY a white v-neck or low-cut undershirt will be allowed for female examinees.
* NO - jewelry, watch, any kind of necklaces or bracelet, TKD shoes.
* Water bottles & small towels are needed.
* All the examinees MUST prepare their own PROPER & USABLE SPARRING GEAR including mouth-piece.
