As a rainy afternoon turned into a pleasant and very calm evening as the sun emerged from the clouds to show a glorious sunset we picked away at fluke and managed a few keepers. Siri not only wins the pool with a 3lb’er but was also high hook. Thank you Captain Pat and Brenden for providing a wonderful evening on the Sound. We will try it again on July 25.

Busy day catching porgies on the Shamrock Sunday morning into the afternoon. Many quality fish mixed in with numerous throwbacks. A wonderful time was had by all on a glorious day of fishing in the Smithtown Bay. Thanks once again to Captain Pat and mates Joe and Brenden. Ralph wins the pool with a 2lb jumbo.

It’s with a heavy heart I must report the passing of club member Dominic Privitera. Not only a longtime member but also a very close lifelong personal friend whom I considered family. Rest In Peace Domenico!
