Pi Kappa Alpha - PIKE at Columbia University

Our chapter is dedicated to developing exemplary men and an exemplary brotherhood, while working to benefit our university and community-at-large.

The Iota Lambda chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha is a brotherhood that for 26 years has continually formed lifelong bonds and fostered its members' pursuits of excellence. Through academics, athletics, philanthropy, community service and leadership, PIKE brings together the best men Columbia has to offer. It is our belief that life in PIKE provides the best possible Columbia experience because PIKE is not simply a fraternal organization, but also a way of life.

January’s PIKE of the month is Jake Drobner. Jake is a senior in Columbia College majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior and fulfilling the premedical curriculum. In addition to serving as PIKE’s former rush chair, Jake is involved on campus as a school manager at the Columbia Bartending Agency.

“During rush my sophomore fall, I remember doing the PIKE Hike walk from campus to the World Trade Center. We met up with the Montclair chapter and spent a couple of hours with over a hundred people to raise money for cancer. It was incredible to just walk across NYC while kicking it with the brothers. For me, it all boils down to who you surround yourself with and enjoy spending time with.”

Our first PIKE of the Month is Jerry Shen. Jerry is an Economics-Mathematics major from Hangzhou, China. He will be graduating this semester, taking some time off to travel the world before returning to Goldman Sachs as a member of the Equity Sales team. Jerry is passionate about traveling, trying out new sports, and visiting comedy clubs throughout NYC.

“I’m always trying to do something new, something that I haven’t done before. That’s why I’m going to Cuba and the Bahamas after Christmas, why I picked up fencing and archery in Hong Kong, and also why I joined PIKE.”
