👀The same game, played by the same rules…
📈Just played at somewhat different levels.
🔑If you haven’t learned from Boo… 10000% recommend looking up some of his stuff.
🧠He’s been on countless podcasts and has probably taught a lot of your favorite coach’s coaches (not the IG fitness coaches)
Your strengths can help pull your weaknesses along.
Coach Boo Schexnayder explains why he doesn't believe athletes should always obsess over their weaknesses, using a simple horse-and-wagon analogy to explain his approach.

Doing more isn't always the answer. Sometimes, the key to improving is doing less, but doing it better.

Sometimes, we just need things explained to us at a 4th grade level…
🎣 Ps. This post has nothing to do with Marc Jacobchick PT, DPT looking extremely proud of the big fish he just caught at Reload

Your MRI gives you a snapshot of what is happening inside your body at a given moment in time…
🚫What your MRI won’t tell you is what you did to get here and what you might need to do going forward in order to reach your goals.
✅A good rehab provider / coach should be able to help you with:
1️⃣Understanding your current capacities and your most recent levels of fitness
2️⃣Gradually exposing you to and preparing your body for the demands of your goal physical activities
3️⃣Managing your intensities, volume, and recovery so that you stay within your current capacities and have positive adaptations with your training program
4️⃣Teaching you how to pivot and make modifications to your training when pain or injury arise
5️⃣Keeping you moving during flare-ups and set-backs so that you stay in the game and continue to move forward
🚨Note: An MRI may be valuable if you present with certain red flags that call for its medical necessity
👋🏼If you don’t have any red flags and pain and injury is standing in the way of what you want to do…
🫱🏻🫲🏼Work with a good physical therapist or coach first to come up with a plan to address the things that you CAN control and improve.
Use the exercises or drills to improve the skill or the thing you are trying to improve.
▶️Here’s a great follow-up to yesterdays post where Lee Taft spoke about why it’s not about the exercise or the really cool drill you find on social media…
🔑It’s about what the exercise or drill can do for you and your client (both in the short term and the long term)
🚨If you are on the fence about coming to the upcoming NYC workshop, early bird tickets expire end of this month.
