The Graham Studio Series gives audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the Martha Graham Dance Company in rehearsal. Join us at our new home in Times Square for three distinctive programs this fall.

Go inside the making of the Companyโs recent world premiere, On Freedom. Choreographers Larry Keigwin and Taryn Vander Hoop, composer Joel Weinhardt, and the cast will demonstrate the Movement Sentence Choir process developed by 92NYโs Dance Education Laboratory (DEL), culminating in a performance of the complete work.

Join renowned choreographer Lar Lubovitch for a conversation exploring the creation of his new Lamentation Variation as the project approaches its 20th anniversary.
Artistic Director Janet Eilber and Lubovitch will discuss his creative process and the challenge of finding new inspiration in Grahamโs iconic Lamentation. The Company will share his work in progress alongside selections from the earliest Lamentation Variations.

A conversation and book signing celebrating Debra Levineโs new biography, Jazzed: Jack Cole and Twentieth-Century American Dance.
Levine joins Janet Eilber and Jacobโs Pillow historian Norton Owen to explore the extraordinary career and influence of choreographer Jack Cole. The New Jack Cole Dancers, led by Artistic Director Cam Loeser, will bring Coleโs distinctive movement vocabulary to life.
