No sad story just reality. 45 years old today. Celebrated by saying goodbye to a great friend that I called a brother. That’s how I want to always remember you. Always taking care of people. Selfless, kind, and tough. You made me a better man always. Thank you for taking care me and watching out for me.
This picture taken by back in 2008 was a few days before the world championships. I was in the best shape of my life but then hurt my hamstrings. I was devastated that I wasn’t able to compete. was there for me. Ever since I can remember, he’s always been there. Through it all. The good and bad. I could count on him to get me through.

It’s hard to put into words what I felt this past week at the World Summit in Barra da Tijuca, Rio. We celebrated 40 years of Gracie Barra, Master Carlos Gracie Jr.’s red belt, and all the masters and professors promotions. I loved sharing this moment with my GB family. Thank you to everyone that made this event so amazing in special team for putting an extraordinary summit that we will never forget. 🎶Uh é Gracie Barra, aha uhu… 🎶

30 years dedicating my life to this amazing art. Receiving my 5th degree on my Gracie Barra Black belt gives me great pride. Jiu Jitsu has shaped who I am today. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to my journey. Double gold victories! Congratulations to all GB family on this great accomplishment. Winning GI and NOGI in our home town during the very first Albuquerque Open was incredible. I am very proud to have witnessed the success of our team. Our team is strong, resilient, and untied and this victory is a testament to that. From professors and coaches to competitors and family/friends, thank you! We couldn’t done it without your support this victory is ours.
