If you go into your years with 100 different ideas for offers— feeling fired up and inspired to FINALLY get s**t done after creating your vision board. But THEN —

You’re not the get the job, retire at 65, white picket fence kinda person.

You’re the flights to Japan at midnight, move countries, fall in love for a moment en route to your forever person, build a wildly successful business, kind of person.

And to be that kind of person, you’ll find yourself in situations that are INCREDIBLE, and in poetic juxtaposition, HEARTBREAKING.

But what you’ll always have, is your ability to weave it into the story of your life.

YOUR life. No one else’s.

And that’s what will flash before your eyes before your last breath.

So do it for the plot.

In fact, I read many of the books I listed here, before my mid 20’s when building this business was just a faraway dream. 💭

I read the Steppenwolf in high school and immediately related to the “outsider” who was just mad enough to reject society’s expectations.

Same with On The Road, where I dreamt of traveling far and wide with friends, creating art and just living wild and free…

I read Pema Chodron for the first time in India— a girl I met on the bus to the mountains 🏔️ close to Nepal, told me this book changed her life.

So I read it one afternoon while we serenely laid around the hotel room that we had to walk down 100 stairs to get to ☺️ something else, I’ll never forget.

I read Connected and thought to myself— “I don’t know if I have it in me to be a Connector”. Same thing with Never Eat Alone. But you know what I did?

I decided that I wanted to embody the Connector archetype and I found a way to create a network of people that truly benefits everyone involved.

I could go on, but it’s truly amazing how books can change you in the most profound ways. And can continue to influence you for years.
