What time better suits your exercise routine: morning or evening?
Our body temperature is lowest in the morning while cortisol levels are at their highest. Our muscles can stretch slowly while alertness is great. Thatโs why gentle activities that help us to wake up, such as yoga or restorative yoga, are more appropriate for the morning time.
With gentle activities our energy is distributed between exercising muscles and activating the prefrontal cortex of the brain, which enhances decision-making process.

Have you ever noticed how good it feels to stretch after being in the same position for a long time?
Research has shown that static stretch and deep breathing activates parasympathetic nervous system ( PSNS), which is responsible for the bodyโs ability to relax. Sometimes PSNS is called โrest and digestโ as it also helps running life-sustaining processes, like digestion and recovery.
Static stretching refers to lengthening a muscle and holding it in that position for 15-60 sec. , , , or simple are all examples of static stretches if the body doesnโt make active movement during the stretch.
Deep breathing provides oxygen to muscles and improves blood flow. With deep breathing it becomes easier to hold a stretch and relax muscles.
As a result of static stretching along with deep breathing, our heart rate slows down, blood pressure lowers down, endorphins are released, PSNS is activated and we enter a relaxation, digestion and recovery stage, creating an overall sense of calm.

"The scapula squeeze exercise, which can also be referred to as 'drawing your shoulder blades together,' plays a crucial role in muscle development. This exercise can be adapted to different intensity levels:
โ๏ธ Low-intensity shoulder blade squeeze: simply stand and try to connect shoulder blades together
โ๏ธ Medium-intensity version: stand against a wall with your body at a diagonal angle
โ๏ธ High-intensity variation in a plank position on the floor
Engaging in the high-intensity version of this exercise helps your muscles quickly learn the optimal shoulder blade positioning for maintaining excellent posture. On the other hand, regularly practicing the low-intensity shoulder squeezes while standing is an effective way
to train your brain to consistently maintain proper posture, and the beauty of it is that you can do it anytime and anywhere.

Who knew relaxation can have a pointy side?
Spiked massage ball vs lacrosse massage ball:
1. Spikes on massage ball apply focused pressure on muscle knots and tight spots
2. Spikes can go deeper into the tight muscle
3. Spikes provide more stimulation and increase blood flow to the area
4. Spiked balls can be used in acupressure, targeting specific points on the body and relieving pain and balancing energy flow
Spiked massage balls are also excellent for foot massage. Think of them as a gentle version of walking on a surface with small needles. This stimulation soothes the feet while promoting improved blood flow to various areas of the body

An Express Massage Life Hack You Can Take Anywhere You Go:
whether it's providing relief for your back, improving posture, or relaxing tight muscles after a long walk. It's no secret that small lacrosse balls can offer muscle relaxation akin to that of a massage therapist. These balls are approximately the size of tennis balls and, when applied to tight muscles, can effectively alleviate pain and stiffness, granting you a comforting sense of relief.
The massage technique performed with lacrosse balls is known as trigger point massage. This technique can swiftly relax, elongate muscles and ready them for stretching.
Refer to an express massage technique by following the link to the article at the top of the profile, or explore an alternative method using trigger point massage for posture:
1. Position a massage ball at the base of your skull's bone on the back of the head.
2. Apply pressure, locate the point that elicits a sensation or reaction in the soft tissue.
3. Spend a few serene moments unwinding and focusing on your breath, experiencing a palpable sense of relief.
This trigger point massage technique effectively addresses tense neck muscles and soft tissues, particularly targeting and preventing the "forward head" posture, which is often a result of a sedentary lifestyle, particularly sitting in front of the computer.
