The Body Church approach to health is important because it creates a time for the cognitive mind and the often silent knowledge of the body to communicate. The better that bridge of communication, the healthier the person. I recommend this for dancers, athletes, yoga instructors, security guards, musicians, programmers, and stock clerks, Body Church is meant for all body types, gender expressions, and physical or mental abilities. Too often, exercises and fitness crazes create an ideal to be compared to. Even during yoga, the concern of doing a pose ‘properly’ can crop up. Body Church has been my response to this perfectionist tendency. At Body Church, there is no ‘full expression’ of a pose or ideal weight.
