Tigers win 4-1 against the Rays

Jackson Jobe didn’t have his best control, but it was nice to see him battle through and only allow the one run. That is part of the process to be able to limit damage when you don’t have your best control.

Max Clark got his first home run at Comerica Park

Drew Sommers has been very good lately. 13.2 IP 1.98 ERA the last 30 days.

Troy Melton is on the mound for a series win tomorrow.

The Tigers are now 62-70

Tigers lose 4-3

Tigers beat the Guardians 3-0 and win the series 2-1.

As of this second, the Detroit Tigers are in the third Wild Card position, depending on what happens in games later tonight.

Keider Montero had a phenomenal outing. 6.1 scoreless innings with zero strikeouts.

The entire staff shutout the Guardians with zero strikeouts.

Javy Baez had a big double, Eduardo Valencia hit a homer, and Spencer Torkelson came through with another big hit.

Tyler Holton continues to pitch well.

Kenley Jansen had a good day, closed the game with 10 pitches.

The Tigers 60-61 are 2.5 games back of the Chicago White Sox for first place in the Central Division. *They are in the third Wild Card spot with the tiebreaker over the Texas Rangers.

*The Rangers are playing later and could take that spot back if they win. The Minnesota Twins also play later and would take that spot for now if they win due to the season series.

The Tigers won the season series against the Rangers and are down 2-5 against the Twins.

Joshua talks on the Tigers losing 5-2 to the Giants.

Keider did struggle with command, especially early.

The Tigers went 1-12 with runners in scoring position, they had multiple runners on base in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th innings and couldn’t score.

Spencer had a great game going 3-4, Zach also did going 2-3, and Kevin went 3-4.

A lot of fans felt Tarik should be traded which I understand, they also want the young guys playing.

This is what happens, especially right away it’s hard to fill the void of losing two players like Tarik and Casey at the deadline. Games like the bullpen game in Seattle and this game happen. Keider has been very good but it’s different when in the rotation full time. Fans have to accept there are consequences with those moves and playing youth. Max and Eduardo both have seen some pitching they hadn’t seen yet lately.

All in all, keep things realistic. Losses were/are going to happen. They weren’t winning out from August 6th on and winning 48 straight. As long as they bounce back tomorrow and have a chance to win the series they are fine.

The Tigers (56-60) are 3.5 games back of the first place White Sox in the division and 2 games back of the final Wild Card spot with 46 games remaining.

Per Tigers PR: The Tigers today recalled RHP Yilber Díaz from Triple-A Toledo. Diaz will wear uniform number 62.

In a separate report from Chris McCosky: Jackson Jobe is expected to join the Tigers in San Francisco.

To me, it seems like Saturday against the Giants is likely but not confirmed yet for Jackson to start.
