The “6-week clearance” is one of the most misleading moments in postpartum recovery — and nobody talks about it.
Your OB checked your incision. They checked basic uterine healing. That’s genuinely all that appointment is designed to do.
It was never designed to tell you whether your body is ready to run, lift, or jump. And yet somehow, “everything looks good” became a green light for all of it.
If you leaked when you ran, felt off after workouts, or wondered what was wrong with you — nothing was wrong with you. You were under-informed.
Your pelvic floor, your deep core, your nervous system — those things take longer. And they deserve more than 10 minutes.
Save this. Share it with a postpartum mama who needs to hear it. And follow along — because healing your body after birth is something you actually get to learn how to do. 🤍
With my experience supporting women through postpartum recovery — and going through it myself — I still see this every single day. 💔
Women being handed a ‘you’re cleared’ at 6 weeks and sent home with zero context for what that actually means for their pelvic floor, their core, or their nervous system.
And then blaming themselves when something feels wrong.
That stops here.
The 6-week clearance checks wound healing. That’s it. It was never designed to assess whether your body is ready to run, lift, or jump — and yet somehow we’ve all been told it means ‘go back to normal.’
There is no going back. There’s only going forward — with the right information, the right progression, and someone in your corner who actually understands what your body has been through.
That’s what I’m here for.
Drop a 🙋♀️ if you were cleared at 6 weeks and had no idea what that appointment was actually checking. Let’s make sure no one else feels alone in this

You don’t need to “bounce back” after birth — you deserve to heal and rebuild .
In the postpartum period, your body is:
Recovering from pregnancy
Healing from birth (vaginal or C-section)
Adapting to less sleep, feeding, stress, and new routines
Instead of jumping into intense workouts, start with:
Rest
Breathing + core connection
Gentle walks
Simple strength exercises
If you notice pain, heavy bleeding, pelvic pressure, or leaking that gets worse with exercise, that’s your sign to slow down and check in with your healthcare provider or a pelvic floor physio.
Postpartum is not a 6-week phase — it’s a chapter. You’re not behind. You’re healing.
👉 Save this for later and share it with a new mom who needs this reminder.

Red flags to watch for when choosing a postpartum trainer:
They give you a “normal” workout without asking about your birth, healing, pelvic floor, or diastasis.
Their message is all about “bounce back” and aesthetics, not recovery and strength.
They dismiss pain, leaking, or heaviness as “normal” and tell you to just push through.
They have no specific postpartum education or can’t explain how they’ll support your recovery.
The right trainer will prioritize your healing, listen to your body, and meet you where you are —not where they think you “should” be.
Are you ready to actually see progress in your strength and confidence as a new or expectant mom?
This week, concentrate on:
✅Creating a flexible mindset and structured routine
