Today didn’t go the way I imagined.
I showed up ready to fight for a PR, ready to prove to myself how strong I’ve become… but the heat had other plans. Somewhere in the middle of it all, my body started sending signals I couldn’t ignore. And for the first time in a long time, I had to listen.
I didn’t finish the race.
That’s hard to say out loud. It stings. It’s not the story I wanted to tell today.
But this is also part of the journey.
Not every race ends with a medal or a personal best. Some races humble you. Some remind you that no matter how disciplined, how prepared, how driven you are you’re still human.
Today, I chose to respect my body instead of pushing past its limits. And even though it feels like a loss right now… I know it’s not the end of my story.
I’ll be back. Stronger, smarter, and even more grateful for every finish line I get to cross.
This one just wasn’t mine… yet.
