🇺🇸 Captain B here from Sound Bound Fleet

We’re up in New York this week helping the Navy transport sailors from these incredible ships to shore. We are assisting with the SOUND BOUND ODYSSEY & SOUND BOUND PRINCESS!

The sailors will get a chance to enjoy the city, grab some food, do some shopping, and enjoy some well-deserved time off.

The security here is unbelievable, Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Police, and so many others all working together to keep this historic event safe and running smoothly, doing an AMAZING JOB!

It’s pretty incredible to witness all of this up close, and we’re honored to be a small part of something so special.

While the ODYSSEY is up here in New York till the 10th, The SOUND BOUND PRINCESS be sailing ALL TRIPS EXCEPT FRIDAY 7/3 & SUNDAY 7/5! All trips will sail as scheduled! We are definitely sailing SATURDAY MORNING FROM 8am-2pm! The Princess will also be sailing for the NYC fireworks the night of the 4th but as of now that trip is SOLD OUT! After the weekend the PRINCESS will resume sailing 2 trips daily & 5:30pm!

This boat has quite the history. Many of you may remember her as The Lark out of Sheepshead Bay before heading to Florida. Now she’s back home in New York and officially part of the Sound Bound family!

The SOUND BOUND EXPRESS underwent a complete refit this past winter and honestly looks like she just rolled out of the factory. The paint job is incredible, she’s absolutely SPOTLESS, and she’ll be ready to fish very soon. She is the perfect replacement for the SOUND BOUND EXCEL.

Powered by twin Cummins diesel engines, the Express cruises comfortably at around 18 knots, giving us the speed & ability to run exciting East End Fluke Trips, specialty offshore adventures, and more.

With plenty of outdoor seating, a spacious two-level cabin, and a layout built for serious fishing, she’s perfectly suited for our Long Island Sound season and will be an absolute BEAST during the fall fishery from our Rhode Island location.

We’re putting the finishing touches on her now—adding additional lighting for night fishing and a few Sound Bound upgrades to give her that true SOUND BOUND look and feel.

The Sound Bound Excel was out on the Bass Grounds on the Full Moon last night & absolutely smoked the fish. Slot-Sized & Over Slot Sized fish dominated the NONSTOP action, with a bunch of fresh meat for the grill taking the ride home. Capt Danny said once the sun started setting is was GAME ON, rods bent, drags screaming, shouts of FISH ON all night long! All the fish caught last night are fresh from the ocean, so we should see some of the same action for the next few weeks at least! Looking forward to getting back on em tonight, enjoy the pics & bunch of vids posted on our page & lets go fishing!
