Looking back at these photos from our boat christening, we’re reminded that rowing isn’t just about perfect strokes. It’s about friendship, joy, resilience, and occasionally being the loudest people on the bayou. 😏

Meet Danielle: a mom, a wife, and a “relentlessly positive human,” according to one of her teammates. She’s new to Survivor Rowing Club but greets every single practice with a huge smile, a generous spirit, and phenomenal strength. 🥰
Danielle has faced breast cancer four times, including a diagnosis at 36 weeks pregnant. While she’s living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, her medical history does not define her. She’s an amazing athlete who shows up consistently and leads others by example. 💗
At SRC practices, she says, “we work as a collective unit, chase goals, and prove to ourselves that breast cancer does not limit what we are capable of doing.” 💪
Show Danielle and her SRC teammates some love by donating to her link in our bio, or sharing her story! 📲

This is what 70 looks like with Survivor Rowing Club! 💪
Meet Patty, our “Persistent Patty.” Since joining SRC in 2025, she’s shown up, worked hard, and never given up. Her determination earned her a podium finish at the 2026 New Orleans Indoor Rowing Championships and a leadership role as our Head of Membership. 🏆
As a mom, grandmother, teammate, and leader, Patty inspires us all with her grit, energy, and commitment to helping our team grow.💗💗
Can’t get enough of Persistent Patty? Support her, or any of our rowers, by making a donation through the link in our bio. 📲

She’s pink. She’s powerful. She’s officially christened. 💖⚓️
Christened by Pete and Stephanie November, meet the Brenda “B” Stephens, SRC’s new, beautiful boat. 🚣♀️🚣♀️
Named in honor of Stephanie November’s mother, Brenda, whose warmth, joy, and spirit touched everyone she met, this boat will remind us why we show up and keep moving forward. 💗
A huge thank you to and for helping turn this dream into reality.

Remember our hot pink baby? She’s prepping for her boat christening this weekend, with some help from , and .rowing ! 🚣♀️
What’s a boat christening? This private ceremony will honor ancient maritime traditions for sending a vessel on its maiden voyage… with an SRC twist, of course!! ⚓️⚓️
After we properly appease the sea gods, we’ll share her official name with you here. 🤫

Survivor Rowing Club brings breast cancer survivors together through rowing, backed by research showing physical activity reduces cancer recurrence. 🚣♀️
We’ve built something with genuine friendships, strength, and a community that shows up for each other. 🤝
We need YOU to help us continue this experience for all of our breast cancer survivors. 💗
Our June “Power 30” is up NOW! Each rower has a personal fundraising page. Find them in the Top Fundraisers section and pick the one you know, or the one with the best arm muscles. 💪 🫣
Funds go toward boats, equipment, and programming so more survivors can be part of this. 🚣♀️👩💻
Can’t give right now? A share goes a long way. Link in bio.
