Our 2nd "FAMILY ACROYOGA" workshop is coming up THIS Saturday, August 24th, at Nola Pole & Aerials in Metairie 😁 Our first session sold out - and we had a blast - so register ASAP if you'd like to join. See details below!

Family AcroYoga is a uniquely enriching form of co-created, active play that children & their families/grown-ups practice together as a pair or group. AcroYoga began as a blend of yoga, partner acrobatics, & Thai massage; it has evolved over the decades to include handstands, circus-based skills, & movements from many styles of acrobatics, gymnastics, cheer, dance, & more. AcroYoga for kids also includes games, creative themes, & age-appropriate, accessible breakdowns of each activity & skill. Usually the grown-up in the group is the “base," who lifts the child (the “flyer"), and a 3rd person (the “spotter"), assists in keeping everyone safe. In similar-sized pairs, participants can even switch roles!

AcroYoga has many tangible benefits. It helps children (& their grown-ups) develop & improve communication skills, physical fitness & body awareness, creativity, positivity, healthy stress-management skills, courage & self-confidence. It also helps families learn to communicate as a unit in healthy, supportive ways - even in challenging situations. Through shared movement, trust, playfulness & joy, Family AcroYoga also creates a beautiful bonding & empowering experience for everyone involved.
