SES LSU Invitational Champions!

The Cardinals defeated UBO Outlook 18U by a final score of 10-1 on Sunday afternoon at Alex Box Stadium.

The Cards were led on the mound by winning pitcher Maes Martin (Jesuit) who pitched four innings allowing just two hits and allowing one earned run while striking out three. Dawson Roussell (Springfield) came on in relief and threw two scoreless innings while striking out three. Derek Weilbaecher (Northshore) closed the game and struck out two.

At the plate, the bats were hot as the offense pounded out eleven hits and was led by Peyton Gomez (Mandeville) 3-3 RBI 2 stolen bases, Derek Weilbaecher (Northshore) 2-2 2 Doubles 2RBI, Bronson Leaumont (Br Martin) 1-2 3 RBI, Connor Smith (Northshore) 2-4 Triple 3 RBI, and Michael Brothers (Jesuit) 2-4 Double 3 stolen bases.

The Cardinals are the winners of Pool A in this weekend’s Southeast Showcase LSU Tigers Invitational and will take on UBO Outlook 18U in the championship game on Sunday at Alex Box Stadium! The first pitch is set for 12:00 pm noon. Go Cards! Time to Fly! ⚾️🇺🇸

That’s a Winner! Cards defeat UBO Central by a final score of 8-3 at Goldsby Field on Saturday.

The win sends the team to the tournament championship game on Sunday at Alex Box Stadium as the winner of Pool A! First pitch is set for noon.

On the mound, Camden Fisackerly (De La Salle) was the winning pitcher. He started the game and scattered just five hits over 4 2/3 innings pitched while allowing just two earned runs and striking out seven. Arlan Olivier (Walker) came on in relief and threw an outstanding 1 1/3 striking out two and allowing no runs.

At the plate, the team was led by Bronson Leaumont (Br Martin) 2-3 3 RBI, Peyton Gomez (Mandeville) 2-3 RBI, and doubles by Connor Smith (Northshore), Derek Weilbacher (Northshore) and Peyton Stubbs (Destrehan).

That’s a Winner! Cards defeat Bayou City Prospects (Texas) by a final score of 9-2 at Alex Box Stadium to open up the Southeast Showcase LSU Tigers Invitational.

The team was led on the mound by winning pitcher Dane Bodin (Lutcher) who pitched a complete game. Bodin scattered just three hits, struck out four batters, and only allowed one earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the club pounded out twelve hits and was led by Alex Scheuermann (St Martin’s) 3-3 2 Runs, Derek Weilbacher (Northshore) 1-2 Double 2 RBI, Bronson Leaumont (Br Martin) 2-3 Triple RBI, Connor Poirrier (Southside) 1-3 2 RBI, and extra base hits by Payton Stubbs (Destrehan) Double, Camden Fisackerly (De La Salle) Double, and Peyton Gomez (Mandeville) Triple.

The team is back in action early on Saturday morning with a 9:00 am doubleheader vs UBO Scout and UBO Central at Goldsby Field (BRCC).
