Even during a disappointing season for the New Orleans Saints, Pete Werner continued to do what he's done throughout much of his career: produce.

The veteran linebacker played in all 17 games and once again proved to be one of New Orleans' most reliable defenders, finishing third on the team in tackles while contributing in several different areas.

His 2025 campaign included:

🖤 81 total tackles (50 solo) — 3rd on team
💛 5 passes defended
🖤 3 fumble recoveries
💛 2 sacks
🖤 4 tackles for loss
💛 3 QB hits

Werner may not always attract the most attention, but his consistency remains valuable. As the Saints continue trying to return to contention, players who can be counted on every week will continue to play an important role.

They say all men are created equal,
But you look at Brock Rechsteiner and you can see that statement is NOT TRUE.

Wide receiver.
6-feet, 2 inches.
225 pounds.
Blazing speed.
Great hands.
Pure genetic freak.

See, normally when a WR goes one on one with a cornerback,
You got a 50-50 chance of winning.
But Brock is a GENETIC FREAK, and he's not normal.
So CBs have a 25% chance at beating him.
When that WR is Brock Rechsteiner, the CB's chances of winning drastically go down.

The Saints took their chance on the young receiver after impressing in rookie minicamp.
They say he has a very slim, about 8 1/3% chance of making the final roster,
But the numbers don't lie.
An amazing camp would mean a 141 2/3% chance of him making the cut.
And they spell disaster for everyone else in the league.

The ultimate respect from a former teammate.

Manti Te’o didn't hold back on Drew Brees' historic legacy, labeling him the GOAT and praising an elite, robotic accuracy that could thread any needle in NFL history. ⚜️🔥

Combining a legendary franchise cornerstone with a high-octane newcomer gives the offense a devastating thunder-and-lightning dynamic in the backfield.

Alvin Kamara provides an elite standard of versatile leadership and chess-piece ex*****on for New Orleans.

Kamara helps the New Orleans Saints by freezing defenders with his signature lateral balance, keeping the chains moving as a dangerous safety valve in the flat, and carving up defenses between the tackles.

Alongside him, Travis Etienne Jr. brings a fresh injection of home-run gear to wear down worn-out defensive fronts late in games.

Etienne helps his squad by hitting standard running lanes with lightning acceleration, bouncing outside to outrun perimeter pursuit, and creating immediate mismatches in open space.

When you blend a historic dual-threat maestro with an explosive ball-carrier, defensive coordinators are left without a clean answer.

Deploying two elite weapons to dictate the tempo of the ground game guarantees this offense remains completely unpredictable. ⚜️💥

The Saints finished last season with real momentum.

Sports Illustrated named New Orleans’ late-season surge and improved offensive firepower as the team’s biggest reason for hope entering 2026.

The Saints won four of their final five games, and now Tyler Shough and Kellen Moore enter Year 2 together.

New Orleans also added first-round receiver Jordyn Tyson and free-agent running back Travis Etienne Jr.

If the offense takes a step forward, the Saints could be right back in the NFC South race.

Cameron Jordan isn’t done yet.

The Saints legend is expected to return for his 16th NFL season, extending one of the greatest careers in franchise history.

At 36 years old, Jordan is coming off a remarkable 2025 campaign where he recorded 10.5 sacks, his first double-digit sack season since 2021.

He’s already the Saints’ all-time sack leader with 132 career sacks and now has a chance to climb into the NFL’s all-time top 10.

For a team that finished the 2025 season on a four-game winning streak, bringing back a leader like Jordan is about more than production.

It’s about culture.

It’s about leadership.

And it’s about keeping one of the greatest players in franchise history exactly where he belongs.

New Orleans gets its legend back for one more run.

Alvin Kamara and Travis Etienne Jr. are poised to make the Saints' backfield one of the most versatile and dynamic tandems in the league, as they are two elite, three-down playmakers who can catch out of the backfield and break explosive chunk plays. ⚜️👥
