We're lending Purple Martins a helping hand with these nesting gourds you may spot in Audubon Park and The Fly! 💜🐦

Purple Martins are declining due to habitat loss and competition with European Starlings. They prefer nesting near water and open spaces where they can catch flying insects.

You can help, too! If you spot a Purple Martin perching in one of the gourds, record your sighting in the eBird app to help track our local population growth.
