On a mission to change the way we approach coaching tween and teen female athletes, and to normalize discussions about how nutrition and mindset work influence athletic performance and success in life beyond sports.

I spent years coaching, and I kept seeing the same pattern.

Preventable injuries.
Nagging back pain.
Rolled ankles.
Burnout.

No one had taught them how to move well, train intentionally, and build a strong foundation. That’s when I knew it was my mission to make training better for teen girl athletes.

My goal isn’t just to help girls become stronger athletes. It’s to help them build confidence, stay healthy, and develop movement patterns that serve them for years to come.

The standard advice for girls who aren't performing at the level they're capable of?

Train harder. Push more. Do what the boys do.

That's not a coaching strategy and too often, it's costing girls their confidence, their health, and their love of the sport.

Teen girl athletes have unique physiological, psychological, and developmental needs. Generic training programs weren't designed with those differences in mind.

When we ignore that, we create athletes who are injured, burned out, frustrated, and wondering why they're not reaching their potential.

Training girls well means:
✅ Programming designed for the female athlete
✅ Fueling to support performance and recovery
✅ Building confidence and mental resilience alongside strength
✅ Prioritizing recovery as part of the training plan

That's what we do here.
And that's what every girl athlete deserves.

👇 Comment POWER and I'll send you everything you need to know about how we help girls train smarter, perform better, and build confidence that lasts far beyond their sport.

Nutrition, mindset, and recovery have always mattered.

For too long, they've been treated as extras instead of essentials.

That's why I built a program specifically for teen girl athletes—one that gives mindset, nutrition, training, and recovery the attention they deserve.

Because your daughter deserves more than generic coaching.

She deserves support that was built with her in mind.

Pre-game stomach discomfort can be linked to nutrition timing, hydration, food choices, stress, or a combination of all four.

The problem is that most athletes are never taught how to connect what they're feeling with what's happening in their bodies so they assume feeling miserable before competition is just part of being an athlete.

It isn't. Understanding what she's feeling is often the first step toward performing better.

Moms already know this: Your body isn't the same as a man's.

So why would we assume your daughter's body works exactly like her male teammates'?

Teen girls are actually more physiologically similar to adult women than they are to teen boys. But they're not adult women either. They're navigating a completely different stage of life, brain development, social pressures, schedules, and identity formation.

They need support, education, and coaching built specifically for them. That's the standard I'm trying to build. DM me POWER and let's talk about what that looks like.

Her period *does* affect her game. Her menstrual cycle can influence energy levels, recovery, mood, coordination, and performance.

The problem is that most teen girl athletes are never taught what's happening inside their bodies. They're told to push through it, work harder, and keep going without ever being given the language to understand what they're experiencing.

Cycle literacy is performance literacy.

And if we're serious about helping girls perform at their best, it needs to be part of the conversation.

A lot of sports nutrition gets overcomplicated. This is your reminder that it doesn't have to be.

Frozen fruit + a protein source = a simple post-workout option for busy teen athletes.

One of the things I teach inside Power & Grace is that fueling doesn't need to be perfect to be effective. It needs to be practical. The best nutrition plan is the one your athlete can actually follow consistently, even on the busiest practice days.

Simple works. And simple done consistently works even better.

You've watched her work hard.

Show up to practice tired.
Push through confidence struggles she couldn't explain.
Finish games exhausted and call it "normal."

And somewhere along the way, you probably realized something:

Training wasn't the only thing she needed.

She needed someone to teach her how to think, fuel, recover, and understand what was happening inside her body.

Teen girl athletes deserve education, support, and coaching designed specifically for them.

Parents and coaches: What's one thing you wish your athlete had learned earlier in her athletic journey?

Drop it in the comments. I'd love to hear it. 👇

Research on adolescent girls specifically shows that skipping breakfast leads to lower energy, reduced concentration, increased fatigue, and decreased exercise enjoyment.

Her body is trying to compete on empty. And no amount of grit makes up for an under fueled nervous system.

Here is what actually happens when she skips:
→ Blood sugar drops before she even touches the field
→ Focus and reaction time suffer early in practice
→ Her body starts pulling from muscle for energy
→ Recovery after that session takes longer than it should

This is not about eating "clean." This is about fueling for performance.

Teen girl athletes have specific fueling needs that generic sports nutrition advice almost always misses. Breakfast is not optional. It is the first training decision she makes every single day.

If you want to understand what pre-practice fueling should actually look like for your daughter, DM me the word FUEL and I will send you exactly where to start.
