🏆 Central Louisiana FC scores twice before half, and then relies on a steady defense, to defeat BRSC Capitals, 2-0, to capture the 2026 Gulf Coast Premier League Championship.

🧮 Tony Rivas put CLFC up 1-0 in the 17th minute, and Chaz Badeaux got the all-important 2nd goal 2 minutes before half. And, man of the match, Keelin Foley anchored the backline to its 2nd straight shutout of the playoffs — CLFC gave up a league-low 6 goals over 8 games this season.

🆚 The 2026 Bayou Conference Champ, , 4-3 winners over Gulf Coast United in their semifinal, travel to face Red River Conference Champ, , penalty kick shootout winners vs. Louisiana Fire's Phoenix, in this year's cup final.

🔄 This is a rematch of last year's championship match, which saw Central LA FC travel to the Caps' home stadium in Baton Rouge and walk away first-time cup winners.

🤷‍♀️ Can they repeat? Or will the Caps return last year's favor and ruin Saturday's homecoming?!

1️⃣ The first semifinal features 2nd seeded hosting #3 on July 2 (7:15p KO) in Biloxi.

2️⃣ And our seconds semifinal features #1 seed hosting #4 Phoenix on July 4 (7:15p KO) in Pineville.

🏆 The winners faceoff for the GCPL Championship on Saturday, July 11 (7:15p KO). Location: TBD (high seed hosts - so either in Biloxi, Baton Rouge, or Alexandria).

😤 The quarterfinals are set for Saturday, June 27, and the top seeds await their semifinal matchups!

With at least a fresh decade in the Gulf Coast game, Chags capped off the regular season for the Caps with a brace, including a worldie bicycle to start off the game! And for this, Chags takes home GCPL Player of the Week honors.
