Happy International Tap Dance Day!🖤👞🎶✨

Today I celebrate not only the art form of tap dance, but the legends who paved the way and created the rich cultural and rhythmic roots we still get to honor and enjoy today. Endless gratitude to Mr. Bill “Bojangles” Robinson and the many masters whose brilliance, innovation, and artistry shaped this great American art form.

I’m especially thankful for my tap teacher, Syrell Daniel, for instilling a love for tap in me at such a young age and for introducing me to the masters - Savion Glover, Gregory Hines, Charles “Honi” Coles, James “Buster” Brown, Jimmy Slyde, Dianne Walker, and Brenda Bufalino. Their artistry continues to inspire me every step, shuffle, flap, riff, paddle and roll, and time step along the way.
