BATON ROUGE!! My annual visit is coming up! For the past 12 years I've had such a beautiful connection to the BR community. I attribute everything to my dearest friend. My angel, Cynara, really believed in me before I believed in myself and altho she's no longer with us Earthside, I do my best to carry her legacy with me! She LOVED kizomba and, like me, had a passion for sharing the music, dance, heritage, and history. Im so proud to continue doing this work- she would be so proud of me. So lets dance for Nena Morena! 💖

So guess what- did yall know theres a new up & coming Puerto Rican Food Pop Up in town? A few years ago, Mel & Preme came down from New York to the Northshore. Earlier this year they were working on a monthly pop up in NOLA when tragedy struck! Now a few months went by and shout out to Preme who's healed up and shout out to Mel who's ready to cook for us!

The long awaited- highly anticipated return of Casita Borinquen! When I tell you those alcapurrias took me STRAIGHT to la isla.
