Years of sitting, repetitive movement, old injuries, stress, habits, and just life itself leave their imprint on the way we move.
In Kaiut Yoga, we use simple positions, different angles, gravity, the floor, and the wall to introduce new information to the system, creating opportunities for joints to move differently and for areas that have become restricted over time to change.
The positions don’t need to look complicated to create meaningful change.
The goal is greater mobility, adaptability, and freedom in the way you move through life.
Kaiut Yoga is where you start editing the story.

The human body is designed to bend, fold, rotate, extend, reach, grasp, and to move through many different relationships with gravity.
But modern life often limits that variety.
We spend hours sitting.
Our work may require us to use the body in repetitive or specialized ways.
The sports we play and even our hobbies can reinforce the same movements again and again.
Over time, our movement repertoire can become smaller.
In Kaiut Yoga, we intentionally bring variety back into the system, stimulating different joints, using different angles, exploring different relationships with gravity.
There is no performance. The shape of the pose is not the goal. Function is.
The goal is to preserve and expand our capacity to move through life.

Every person has their own history and their own natural potential.
In Kaiut Yoga, we adapt the pose to the body, not the other way around.
The same pose can create a different experience for each person. What matters is not how it looks, but what function it restores.
With consistent practice, we work toward a more adaptable system, expanding mobility, creating greater freedom of movement, and supporting nervous system regulation, allowing us to access more of our natural potential over time.
Kaiut Yoga is for everyone.

A new chapter is beginning.
Since 2022, Nim Yoga has been the home of the Kaiut Yoga Method in New Orleans.
What started as a small community built around this work has steadily grown — and now we’re taking an important next step.
Nim Yoga is becoming Kaiut Yoga New Orleans, an official Kaiut Yoga school.
The name is changing, but the heart of the work remains the same: helping people move better and maintain the capacity to keep doing the things that matter most to them.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll see this page and our studio transition to Kaiut Yoga New Orleans.
We’re very happy to finally share this with you, and deeply grateful to have you with us as we move forward.
Here’s to what comes next! 🤍

One of the biggest misconceptions about yoga is that you have to be able to get down on the floor.
You don’t.
In Kaiut Yoga, we meet the body exactly where it is and create the conditions for it to feel safe enough to learn, open, and adapt.
We use chairs, bolsters, blankets, blocks, and the wall—not because they’re easier, but because they allow each person to practice in a way that respects the body you bring today.
The goal isn’t to perform a pose.
The goal is to create the conditions for meaningful, sustainable practice.
When movement feels accessible, people come back.
And when they come back, the body responds.
Every body has a place here.

The feet are the human body’s paws.
They are your only point of contact with the ground, continuously gathering information that helps the nervous system organize movement.
In the Kaiut Yoga Method, we pay close attention to the plantar girdle—the feet and their relationship with the ankles. Restoring mobility here isn’t about training the feet in isolation. It’s about improving the foundation from which movement emerges.
The way we walk reflects a lifetime of adaptation.
Changing the way the feet move can influence the way the entire body moves.
