All smiles when former teammates meet up in the fleet!
Recent Coast Guard Academy graduates and All-Americans, Carl DiGiorgio and Nate F**t reconnected just months after their graduation, this time in Charleston, South Carolina.
DiGiorgio, now on a MSST team out of Kings Bay, Georgia, traveled north to Charleston to brief a Sector Commander on upcoming operations. F**t happened to be on duty on his cutter and invited the MSST team over for a tour of the ship.
The connections you make within our wrestling program donβt end when you graduate. In fact, that is just the beginning!
We canβt wait to follow their careers and see the amazing ways they will impact our country as Coast Guard officers. Keep making us proud, fellas!

An exciting morning onboard the United States Coast Guard Academy, as our program celebrated the commissioning of, now, ENS Thomas Rhodes as an officer in the USCG! π
Surrounded by friends, teammates, instructors, and various military personnel, Thomas was given the oath by Captain Harris, Commandant of Cadets for the USCGA. β
While Thomas awaits his first assignment, we have been grateful for his continued presence and mentorship this summer at the Academy! π
Coach Bratlandβs remarks summed it up perfectly: βWe have a saying within our program, βIf you want to be a dawg, you gotta do what dawgs do. Thomas Rhodes is a dawg!ββ πΆπ¦΄
Congrats, Thomas! Fair winds and following seas, ENS! π«‘

A day that has been circled on the calendar for a year, courtesy of the Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association!
The Coast Guard Academy Wrestling mission reaches far beyond wins and losses. Weβre developing young men who pursue excellence in the classroom, on the wrestling mat, and ultimately become some of the worldβs finest military officers.
Our program continues to pursue All-American honors and National Championships while preparing cadet-athletes for something even greater β careers of leadership and service, protecting the United States, its people, and its interests.
Our alumni, families, friends and fans who follow our program remain an important part of the Coast Guard Wrestling family.
Today, we celebrate how far this program has come β and how much further we believe it can go.
The future of Coast Guard Wrestling is bright. The standard continues to rise.

Last year saw the breakout performance of yet another 4/c wrestler for our program π€ΌββοΈπͺ
Marvin Armistead earned 20+ wins on the season, made the NCAA Region 1 Championship Finals, and qualified for the National Championships π
Another season, another 4/c who made an immediate impact in our starting line-up π
Itβs not a one-off, itβs routine π
If youβre a young buck in our program, youβre going to be given opportunities to prove yourself and earn the spot. Itβs up to you to have the confidence and poise to take hold of it and run π
Who will be the 4/c this year that makes their impact felt? π§

Yesterday saw the CO 2030 put their skills to the ultimate test - Sea Trials!
A marathon of a day, beginning at 3:30AM, Sea Trials challenges the Swabs physically, mentally, and emotionally
A 15+ hour iteration, the Swabs were met with obstacles requiring them to work within their companies to problem-solve and apply their newly crafted Coast Guard knowledge and abilities
From log carries around campus, overhead raft competitions, survival at sea tests, mock drug busts, our obstacle course, and multiple workouts, no one gets through Sea Trials alone.
Culminating with push-ups with ADM Rothrock on the Hamilton Parade Field, Sea Trials is the accomplishment of a summer of hard work and perseverance!
The pay off? Today, our Swabs officially become Cadets and will be presented with their shoulder boards, officially welcoming them into the US Coast Guard Academy.
To make things better, the shoulder board ceremony is done in front of family and friends who have traveled in to celebrate their childβs major milestone! With a few hours of liberty ahead of them, there is no doubt these men and women will enjoy some down time with loved ones.
Congratulations to the CO 2030, especially our wrestlers who always led from the front of their companies!
Next up, the academic school year!
