Welcome to the USCGA Ocean Racing page on Facebook. The Ocean Racing program involves both inshore buoy races and long offshore races. Coast Guard.
Buoy races are unique in challenging the team of cadets to make split second decisions and to perform at high intensity for the duration of the race. Offshore races focus more on endurance, preparation, navigation, and weather prediction.
