Starting off our new season, we’re bringing it back to the basics! 🤸‍♀️ This drill helps our gymnasts learn how to shoot their toes up during an underswing, building the proper technique and body position from the very beginning. 💪✨

Tumble Tip Tuesday 🤸‍♂️

Today we’re breaking down the Mountain Climber Lunge! A strong lunge is so important because it sets your gymnast up for a powerful, controlled handstand. 💪

It’s very common for gymnasts to rush or skip over these important positions when going into their handstand. When that happens, it can lead to a loose, less controlled handstand. Taking the time to hit each position correctly helps create a tighter, stronger handstand! 🤸‍♀️✨

Strong basics build big skills! 💚

Starting off our new season, we’re bringing it back to the basics! 🤸‍♀️

Our Training Team is working toward handstands on the beam, starting with handstands against the wall. This drill helps our gymnasts learn what it feels like to reach a fully extended handstand while also focusing on proper hand placement and body position.

Tumble Tip Tuesday 🤸‍♂️

Today we’re focusing on the split jump!

This is one of those skills that happens in the blink of an eye, so knowing a few key things to look for can make a big difference when watching your gymnast.

Keep an eye out for:
✨ Straight legs and knees
✨ Pointed toes
✨ A tight, engaged core
✨ Arms in side-middle, squeezing back

These small details help create a cleaner, stronger, and more beautiful split jump! 💪🤸‍♀️
