Lone Star Fly Fishing

It’s been a great Summer! We look forward to spending time with family and friends in Florida every year. Chasing tarpon, bottom fishing and enjoying Kelli Prescott amazing food of course. Our nephews are adorable too. We’re home in Texas now and the rivers are flowing and Canyon Lake is full again. We’re excited and ready to get after it!

Photo dump from March and April on the Guadalupe! So many great trips couldn’t fit them all in a single post. We’ve had a blast and our anglers crushed it out there. Trout season is winding down but we still have about another month of great fishing left. We have availability coming up through late May. Let’s make some memories before Summer hits!

Spring has sprung! Bass, Stripers and White Bass, fishing has been excellent on Canyon Lake the last few weeks. Lots of great trips recently with some awesome anglers. The rest of Spring and early Summer is some of our best fishing of the year. Come get in on the action!

Another awesome few weeks on The Guadalupe! Simon all the way from the UK landed the biggest Trout of his life. We also had a blast with some awesome youngsters which is always so much fun. Blessed to help make these memories!

What a start to the New Year! We had some absolutely epic trips the last couple weeks and we definitely made some memories. Everyone stay safe this weekend with the winter storm coming in. We’ve got some available dates coming up in February and March. Come get in on the action!

Happy New Year! The last couple weeks have been awesome out here on The Guadalupe. Our anglers absolutely crushed it on some epic fish including some brand new fly anglers. There’s a lot more where this came from and we’re excited to get 2026 started with a bang. May 2026 be the best year yet!

Going strong on The Guadalupe! Starting to get chilly out there but the fishing is hot. Lots of awesome trips recently and our anglers have been getting it done big time. The Guadalupe has been good to us recently! Our anglers crushed it out there the last couple weeks. Including some first time fly anglers that landed incredible fish. I can assure you these holdover Trout are not easy to fool and even harder to get in the net so great job to all of our anglers. “Trout season” proper is about to kick off and we are so excited to keep making memories. We’ve got a few available dates through the end of the year, let’s get after it!

Holdover season! We’ve had a blast the last couple weeks chasing these Trout that survive year round in The Guadalupe. They can be tricky to catch but our anglers crushed it out there. Several first fish on the fly, including the first picture. Shoutout to Emily for getting that beast into the net within 30 minutes of ever holding a fly rod. We’ve got some available dates coming up for holdover Trout and we’re excited for another great season. Come get in on the action!
