CLEAN KIDS. HEALTHY MATS.

In Jiu-Jitsu, our children learn much more than techniques: they learn discipline, respect, responsibility, and how to care for their training partners.

Because Jiu-Jitsu involves close physical contact and direct contact with the mats, good hygiene habits are essential to help maintain a safer and healthier environment for everyone.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents and guardians, help our children build these healthy habits:

🧼 Wash hands and feet thoroughly and keep nails short and clean.
🥋 Wear a clean gi for every training session.
🩹 Cover cuts, wounds, or injuries and INFORM THE INSTRUCTOR.
🚫 Never step onto the mats wearing shoes.
🤒 Do not train when sick or when showing signs of a possible skin infection.
💧 Keep water bottles and personal items clean and do not share them.
Do your part to help keep the mats clean.
👞 Don’t walk barefoot outside the mats.

Taking care of hygiene means taking care of our children, our training partners, and our entire community.

Healthy kids. Stronger community.

A weekend filled with learning, challenges, growth, and, above all, unity.

Congratulations to all of our students, kids and adults, who had the courage to step onto the mats and represent our team at CompNet Austin 2026. Every match, every moment, and every part of this experience represents dedication, discipline, and courage. We are incredibly proud of every one of you!

Because what happened at CompNet started long before that day. It started inside our academy, through every hard training session, every drop of sweat, every lesson, every correction, every fall, and most importantly, every time our students chose to get back up and keep going.

It is the hard work that no one sees that builds what everyone gets to see on the mats.

To our coaches, our heartfelt thank you. Thank you for standing beside our athletes, believing in them, teaching them, correcting them, encouraging them, and challenging them. And, many times, for seeing potential in them before they could see it themselves. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

And to every family member, friend, student, and teammate who showed up to support and cheer, thank you.

Because from the stands, it may have looked like a full gym. But for the person on the mat, it meant so much more. It meant looking around and knowing that an entire team was there believing in them and cheering them on.

A team is not made only of the people who step onto the mat.
A team is made of everyone who helps someone get there.

And if 2026 taught us anything, it’s that we still have so much more to build, more challenges to face, and more dreams to chase.

See you at CompNet 2027.
More training. More challenges. More stories.
And, above all, together again. Oss! 🔺

Legacy

Gracie Barra is more than a name, or a belt. It is the knowledge of generations that has been passed down from professor to student.

Black belts teach brown belts.
Brown to Purple
Purple to Blue
And Blue teaches white.

That is how Jiu-Jitsu grows. That is how we leave a legacy.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made the seminar such a great experience! 🥋

And a huge thank you to Prof. Samuel for sharing his knowledge and teaching us some awesome Gracie Barra half guard attacks. We’re always grateful for opportunities to learn, grow, and sharpen our game together! 🔥
