Healing salve, anyone? First step is comfrey -infused oil. 🌱🫒

While I learned about comfrey from Huw Richards permaculture's perspective and this vivacious green mulch, the healing properties of comfrey are just as impressive.

Known as knitbone, this plant is a powerhouse component to a healing salve because it contains allantoin, a compound that supports the growth of new skin cells and speeds up the healing of minor surface wounds and rosmarinic acid, which helps calm localized swelling and irritation.

Time to let these rest in a warm and dark place for 6 weeks. 🕤💤

There's always some casualties 😅
