Excel Performance Academy

Looking forward to a 2026 that brings new ownership and new energy to Excel Performance Academy. Herman Alvarado () is a former professional baseball player with years of coaching experience.

Herman grew up in San Diego and out of high school he attended and played baseball for Trinidad State Junior College as a utility player before transferring to Nyack College where he started as a shortstop and catcher. Following his collegiate career, he coached at the Perfect Game collegiate summer league and played professionally in the Mexican League. He has experience coaching youth to high school aged athletes both in a team environment and in private and small group lessons (catching, hitting and infield).

Herman is looking forward to bringing positive changes to Excel Performance Academy. Come and check out our baseball and softball programs for yourself to see what we can do for your player or reach out for private or small group lessons available by coaches at EPA.
