Excel Baseball

Looking forward to a 2026 that brings new ownership and new energy to Excel Baseball. Herman Alvarado ( ) is a former professional baseball player with years of coaching experience.

Herman grew up in San Diego and out of high school he attended and played baseball for Trinidad State Junior College as a utility player before transferring to Nyack College where he started as a shortstop and catcher. Following his collegiate career, he coached at the Perfect Game collegiate summer league and played professionally in the Mexican League. He has experience coaching youth to high school aged athletes both in a team environment and in private and small group lessons (catching, hitting and infield).

Herman looks forward to bringing positive changes to Excel Baseball. Currently holding tryouts for all age groups. Come and check out a practice for yourself to see what we can do for your player.

Took two teams to Vegas and both came home with PG Open Division hardware. Excel 14U Navy brought back the finalist banner and Excel 10U Navy brought back the Champions banner. Way to represent Excel gentlemen!!

Congrats to our Excel 11U Red players and coaches for taking home the Silver bracket championship this weekend. Keep working hard boys!!

Labor Day Weekend banners…Excel 11U take home the NCS 11U Gold Championship and Excel 14U Navy bring home the USSSA 14U Open Division Silver Championship. Way to go players and coaches!!

Excel 13U Navy end the NCS World Series top 8 out of 37 teams. Didn’t finish the job as our bats got cold but proud of the work the team and coaches put in this week. Learn from the mistakes and move on to the next one.
