A huge thank you to Friends of Shelby Park , Grant, and Perry for taking our 6–8-year-old campers on an incredible nature adventure through the beautiful Shelby Bottoms! 🌿🦎
Our campers were able to observe local wildlife, spot several critters in their natural habitat, explore a small cave, learn about the Cave Spring salamander, and discover how to identify poison ivy and, most importantly, how to safely avoid it.
Hands-on experiences like these spark curiosity, build confidence, and help our campers develop a deeper appreciation for the amazing natural environment right here in our community.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and creating such a fun and educational experience for our youth!
