Some finish lines are just the beginning. โค๏ธ

Years ago, Ben Cooper and Emily McCanless each completed their very first triathlon at Tri Louisville.

This weekend, they returned to the race that started their triathlon journey... and after crossing the finish line, they took the biggest step of all.

๐Ÿ’ They got married at Tri Louisville.

What began as a finish line became an aisle. Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow racers that has cheered them on over the years, they exchanged vows at a place that means so much to them.

Ben and Emily, thank you for letting Magic Sports be a small part of such an unforgettable chapter in your story.

Some races are remembered for the perfect conditions.

Others are remembered for the people.

Today was one of those days.

When circumstances took the swim out of the picture for our 12th Annual Tri Louisville race, hundreds of athletes simply adjusted, smiled, and raced anyway.

There were strangers ringing cowbells for people theyโ€™d never met.
There were volunteers who treated every athlete like family.
There were kids cheering louder than anyone.
There were teammates waiting at the finish.
There were hugs that meant everything.

Thatโ€™s what race day is all about.

Thank you to every athlete, volunteer, sponsor, spectator, and race crew who helped turn an unexpected challenge into an unforgettable day.

Dear Tri Louisville Athletes,

We have an important update regarding Sunday's race.

Following the latest water quality testing results that we received today, we have been notified that the Ohio River is currently not safe for swimming. While this is incredibly disappointing for everyone involved, the safety of our athletes, volunteers, and staff must always come first. As a result, the swim portion of Sunday's event has been canceled, and all triathlon events will be converted to run-bike-run formats.

Racers, please check your email for more information.

If you are traveling to Tri Louisville this weekend, be aware that portions of I-65 through Louisville are under construction as part of the I-65 Central Corridor Project.

Please allow yourself a little extra travel time for packet pickup and race morning, and let your GPS guide you around any closures and detours.

Safe travels - we canโ€™t wait to welcome you to Tri Louisville!

Big news for Ashland City! ๐Ÿ‘

The Town of Ashland City, TN has officially received the green light from TDOT to move forward with the long-awaited trail expansion connecting the north end of Tennessee Waltz Parkway, behind Borders Inn, to Chapmansboro Road, including a new bridge into the Marks Creek Trailhead.

We've been talking with the Town about this project for years, so it's incredibly exciting to see it finally becoming a reality.

For the Riverbluff Triathlon, this is a game changer. Once complete, nearly the entire Sprint and Olympic run courses will be able to stay off the roads and almost entirely on Ashland City's incredible trail system. That means a safer, more scenic, and even better race experience for our athletes.

A huge thank you to the Town of Ashland City and everyone who has worked to move this project forward. Investments like this don't just benefit one event - they create lasting opportunities for residents, visitors, and the entire community.

Now we've got our fingers crossed that construction is completed in time for the 2027 Riverbluff Triathlon.๐Ÿคž
