When I left the HHA.USA event last week, storms were hovering in the distance and the sun was setting. After a long day and a lot of windshield time, I caught this view and couldn’t help but stop for a second.
Just an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
I’ve become a regular at these HHA USA events, and every time I come away with a deeper appreciation for what they’re building. You get to reconnect, build real relationships with first responders, and spend time around some genuinely great people.
There’s something really special brewing with HHA USA, Centershot Blue and Centershot Ministries, and I’m already looking forward to what next year brings.
Chris and Aaron, I appreciate you both, your friendship, and the opportunity to be a small part of all of this.
August has been one hell of a month, and I’m incredibly grateful for what it’s brought into my life.

EHD is tearing apart the deer herd in Washington County. I’m getting many first hand accounts of decimated properties from EHD running wild and it’s no joke. I know a lot of folks putting the bows away and pulling out their duck and goose gear as a result. All I can say is WOW.

Four dead deer were pulled out of Silver Lake in the Town of West Bend on Sunday by Advanced Wildlife and Pest Control — a Slinger-based, family-owned animal removal and pest control company serving southeastern and parts of southeastern/central Wisconsin — and a disease called Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease, or EHD, is currently believed to be the cause of death.

We thought we were cooperating with Mother Nature until we weren't.... Seed is in the ground and now we're all doing rain dances in hopes of a good sprinkle.
Working hard to give the whitetails something to eat. Once the Physis Seed gets going, I'm sure we'll have a banger of a Fall!

Caught a family through the subdivision this morning. I immediately went back into hunting mode and army crawled in to 15’ while they were in the prairie grass. 🤷♂️🤣

When you know you're hunting something different than whitetails in the coming year... That game species target at winter league feels a little different when you get to start practicing a year in advance.
