We took Service and Soul to New York City!

Seth and I recently had the opportunity to sit down with NTD News in NYC and talk about something incredibly important to us: the realities of military life, marriage, identity, resilience, and what happens to families behind the service.

This conversation is exactly why Service and Soul exists.

Military and first responder spouses spend so much of their lives supporting the person who serves but their own identity, purpose, dreams, and struggles matter, too.

And when service ends? The transition doesn't just affect the service member. It affects the marriage. The family. The spouse. The way you communicate, connect, and figure out who you are in this new chapter.

Seth and I believe stronger families create stronger communities, and supporting those who stand beside our military members, veterans, and first responders isn't optional. It matters.

… but this photo, this first one, is the part I never want to forget! This past year we have made an effort to put God at the center of our marriage, family, and business.

There have been seasons of healing, questioning, who we are becoming, and where sometimes the next step absolutely made no sense. But we knew that if we let God lead the way, He would put us exactly where he wanted us to serve.

The cycle doesn't stop with us.

It impacts our families.
Our teams.
Our organizations.
Our communities.

Every unhealed wound, limiting belief, fear, or pattern has the potential to be passed forward—or transformed.

Speaking at NASDAQ about this message was a reminder that leadership is about so much more than performance.

It's about influence.

The way we respond under pressure.
The way we communicate.
The way we handle conflict.
The way we treat the people around us.

When we do the work to understand ourselves, regulate our nervous systems, and challenge the stories that no longer serve us, the impact extends far beyond our own lives.

That's how change happens.

One conversation.
One choice.
One person at a time.

And eventually, those choices create a ripple effect that reaches people we'll never meet.

That's the kind of leadership the world needs more of.

Today, I’m thinking about the men and women who gave their lives serving this country… and I’m thinking about the spouses and families who have had to keep going without them.

To our Gold Star spouses in the Service and Soul community, I just want you to know we love you deeply. We see the strength it takes to carry both heartbreak and pride at the same time. You are not forgotten today!

If you’re missing someone today, we’re holding space for you.

Their life mattered.
Their sacrifice mattered.
And their memory deserves to be honored far beyond just one day a year.
