Abel McKnight Racing

August Life/Race Update:

I went to Richmond and raced my second National of the season. I made my first senior national A-main in my animal car. I started 10th and finished the race in 4th! I not only got to hang out with a lot of my buddies, I got to spend time with Chad!

I had the honor of walking my mom down the aisle. DeBerry party of 6! We had a great night celebrating our family!

Then, I raced the preregional race in Huntsville where I walked away with 2 podiums!

Whew, if all that wasn’t enough, I started training at D1 to help my strength and endurance!

I am looking forward to racing this weekend at the Dixie in Huntsville and seeing all my buddies!

B-mains are rolling today at Richmond Raceway!!!

Please help us wish Abel good luck & safety as he gives his all to transfer to the A-mains with the best in the country!

Yesterday at the NGQMA Double Header (points race 9&10) was a HUGE day for Abel McKnight Racing crew!

This is Abel’s first year in the Sr & Lt classes so we wanted him to have as much seat time as possible. We had no expectations moving through his season, we just wanted to learn & grow.

& then in true A-main Abel fashion, he had plans of his own. He has completely blown us out of the water!!!!!

🏆 We are PROUD to announce that Abel is the 2026 NGQMA - North Georgia Quarter Midget Association LWF, Sr. Honda, & Sr. Animal CHAMPION!!!!!!!! 🏆

He rose to the challenge of driving at a track he lives 4 hours from. We have only had 8 practice days total…. He took every challenge, every ounce of bad luck, everything thrown in his way & turned it around & used it for motivation. & we couldn’t be more proud of his HARD WORK & SUCCESS! 🏁💪🏼

We are so grateful for the people who have been by our side while Abel was chasing that dream. We couldn’t be more proud of their success or grateful for their friendship. None of this could’ve happened without them!

Tonight was a BIG night for Abel McKnight Racing! He won his 50th feature race!

7/18 race recap @ Huntsville Quarter Midget Association - HQMA!

Mistakes were made, lessons were learned, but overall a successful day for Abel McKnight Racing!

💨 Sr Honda (Booster):
Heat- P2 ➡️ F2
Feature- P2 ➡️ F3🥉
🔹 Abel & another car got tangled at the very beginning. No caution was thrown, so he ended up falling behind the pack. It definitely shook him up a little but & took him a minute to find his groove again. Over all, mistakes were made, however, we are still happy with his fight & his finish!

🪲 Sr Animal (Beetlejuice):
Feature- P1 ➡️ F1 🏁
🔹 overall a great race with fierce competitors! Great job boys!

☠️ LWF (Venom):
Heat- P1 ➡️ F2
Feature- P2 ➡️ F2 🥈
🔹 sheeeeesh Ryder Weston Racing is a ROCKET 🚀 he definitely lives up to his name (always) especially in LWF! We are still dialing in this car & figuring out this class. Overall, it was a great run by both boys!! Congratulations on your win, Rocket!

🔹 it was a great race ran by all competitors. No notes on our driver’s performance! Just back to the drawing board!

We are proud of our wheelman! Even through some of his frustration he shook it off when it mattered most & never stopped digging. It was & is always a great day to be an Abel McKnight Racing fan!

Whew- some weekends in racing leave you exhausted and some what frustrated! We had the highs (Fast qualifier in a division and a feature win) of some great finishes and the lows of being the casualty of others mistakes. We even made a few mistakes of our own!
