Representing the JRBC at Yankee Stadium! After spending three days in St. Pete and watching a couple of games with me at the Trop, Michael and Darian Agrette traveled to the Big Apple to see the Blue Jays and Yankees for a complete series. Great friends and a beautiful family!

Great trip to the Trop! Two fantastic days with dear friends Michael and Darian Agrette in St. Pete. We were able to chat with several current and former players and coaches, including Pete Walker, Jose Bautista, Ernie Clement, Garth Iorg and Buck Martinez. Btw l first met Buck when l threw batting practice to the KC Royals during my college days at Edison in Ft. Myers. Of course, Martinez and my great friend Cookie Rojas were not only teammates with KC, but also reunited as manager and bench coach of the Blue Jays years later. ⚾️😀⚾️😀⚾️

Congrats to Johnny King and his family! The Naples HS grad and former JRBC camper just got called up to the Toronto Blue Jays AA team a couple of days ago. The lefty starting pitcher, who just turned 20, has also helped as a JRBC instructor. Wishing Johnny continued success on the diamond!

Great All-Star game last night! With the score tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth inning, GGALL scored three runs to win 4-1 vs GNLL. Pictured here are JRBC campers Karson McReynolds, Rick Shanahan and Cooper Johnson, the winning pitcher. Joining me at the game was Coach Dennis Vince, who is seen here with a famous cow at a recent JRBC Hitting Camp. Btw the action continues tonight at the Bonita Springs Baseball Complex. The JRBC June 22-24 Hitting Camp culminated in a superb finale yesterday, with the Home Run Derby's last swing deciding the All Star competition's fate. The Nationals team emerged victorious, scoring 780 points against the Americans' 700, bolstered by exceptional base running, sliding, bunting, and hitting. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all participants, families, sponsors, and coaches for their efforts and support. Save the date for the Winter Super Camp, December 28-30, at beautiful Fleischmann Park, with the most popular JRBC event of the year!

Highlights from Day 2 of the June 22-24 Hitting Camp. Campers listened intently to Lely Varsity Head Coach Kit Fowler discuss the importance of a proper diet and the campers were introduced to the Rope Bat by Coach London Hitchman of NHS to start the day. Today’s session included sliding, bunting, and several hitting and agility drills before playing the daily game. Of course , the afternoon ended with the trivia contest with JRBC hats, courtesy of Impact Team Sports. Looking forward to our last day of our summer camps tomorrow!

The June 22-24 Hitting Camp got underway this morning at Fleischmann Park. Four youngsters won JRBC hats, courtesy of Impact Team Sports during trivia time, to wrap up Day 1. Today the athletes worked mostly on dry swings, bunting and several hitting drills that included Tee work, front toss and live hitting in the cage and on the field. Of course, the campers had time to keep swinging during the daily game. We are looking forward to the next two days with more fun in the sun!
