🌙 A Picture-Perfect Morning at The Strand
This morning, Golf Course Maintenance Director John Spiwak captured this beautiful view from the course — a glowing moon, soft morning skies, and a peaceful reflection across the water.
While much of The Strand was just beginning the day, our Golf Course Maintenance Team was already out on the course. Moments like this are a wonderful reminder of the natural beauty that surrounds us every day.
Thank you, John, for sharing this stunning start to the morning! 🌴⛳

⛳ Golf Course Renovation Update: Preserve Progress!
Exciting progress continues on the Preserve Course! This past Thursday, Preserve greens 1 through 5 were sprigged with TifEagle Bermudagrass, marking another major milestone in our golf course renovation.
After months of shaping, drainage, irrigation, bunker construction, and surrounding turf work, it is exciting to see fresh sprigs going down and these greens entering the growing phase. Crews were also busy loading material for spreading as work continues throughout the course.
With proper irrigation and care, the TifEagle will begin rooting, filling in, and maturing over the coming weeks.
Another great step forward as we move closer to welcoming our Golf members back to all 27 beautifully renovated holes! 🌱⛳ 🎥 Credit: John Spiwak

🏌️♀️ Golf Croquet Is a Hit at The Strand! 🏌️♂️
Who knew trading golf clubs for croquet mallets could be this much fun?
More than 25 Strand members joined us Monday evening at the Croquet Center to learn the basics of Golf Croquet, put their new skills to the test, and enjoy a little friendly competition. From strategy and positioning to touch, accuracy, and a few well-placed shots against opponents, it didn’t take long for everyone to get into the game!
Despite the August heat, there were plenty of laughs, impressive shots, and one message we heard loud and clear: We need to do this again!
And we are!

🌅 A Beautiful First Cut at Sunrise! ⛳
What a way to start the morning at The Strand! Our newly renovated Putting Green received its first cut at sunrise today, marking another exciting milestone in our golf course renovation.
With the early morning light stretching across the fresh turf, the first mow offered a beautiful glimpse of the smooth, finely maintained putting surface that is beginning to take shape. Each carefully timed step helps the new turf mature, strengthen, and gradually transition toward the playing conditions our golf members can look forward to enjoying.
There is still important grow-in and fine-tuning ahead, but seeing the mower make its first pass is certainly an exciting sign of progress.
One sunrise, one first cut, and one step closer to welcoming our golfers back! ⛳🌅 📸 Credit: John Spiwak
