We could not be more proud of Katie performance at USA Weightlifting VIRUS Series 2 in Fort Worth, TX this past Sunday.  This was STS’ first appearance as a club at a national level meet and Katie represented us with great competitive spirit!  She finished with a 4/6 performance with a best Sn**ch of 60kg and best Clean & Jerk 82kg.  This was a competition PR in the Sn**ch, CJ, and total for Katie.  We look forward to more improvement and great lifting from Katie moving forward!  Big thank you to em_dorsh for supporting with nutrition coaching and erd.wl for help in the back room.

🚨🔔 INTERN ALERT 🔔🚨

We could not be more excited to announce Betty Tsoutsas as our fall intern this semester!

Betty comes to us by way of North Central College Exercise Science Program and NCC Women’s XC/TF where she is a junior exercise science major and sprinter.

From Betty:
“I’m super passionate about fitness, strength, and helping people become the best version of themselves. I’m so excited to intern at STS Weightlifting & Performance and get hands on experience in a field I’m genuinely passionate about. I can’t wait to learn, grow, and meet everyone at STS!”

You’ll be seeing Betty around the facility on Thursdays and Saturdays learning and helping our athletes develop.

We could not be more excited to host the second annual Illinois Fall Sweep!

The link in our bio contains a TENTATIVE start list for the meet on Sunday, 9/6. This tentative start list is not final. It is a preliminary projection of what the sessions will look like so you can plan your day more accurately. A final start list will be released on Thursday, 9/3.

Every successful weightlifting meet is built on the backs of great volunteers. We are actively looking for volunteers for this meet. Please use the tentative start list spreadsheet to add your name and email address in the slot where you’d like to volunteer. We appreciate you guys more than you know!
